Untitled (2020). ︎ Drawing on the visual as well as methodical work of Dada artist Jean Arp, I seek to rediscover the importance of decorative, beautiful things and the long-lasting connections we are able to form with them. With my BA collection, I try to give way to the possibility of a sublime aesthetic experience with our clothes. It explores the kind of deep-rooted satisfaction that comes with experiencing something you cannot fully grasp, or something unexpected. The collection aims to use this type of satisfaction as a tool to encourage more conscious decision-making in consumers and makers of fashion.
